In 5 days, Laura and I will have been in San Francisco for 6 months. That’s 6 months away from our families, our old jobs and our old lifestyle. We’re celebrating our 6th month in the city by heading to Nevada for Thanksgiving. Laura’s brother is just over the mountain in Lake Tahoe. We’re going to keep it simple with no shopping, no long lines and possibly playing a little blackjack for fun.
Reno is the cheaper version of Las Vegas but we’ll have a chance to golf, go hiking and get away from the city for 3 full days. It’s going to be awesome and we are really looking forward to that.
I wanted to take just a moment to thank everyone a long the way. Our families for being so supportive of this journey to SF, our new friends (even though we don’t have many) and our employers for allowing us to be creative and do what we enjoy most. I’m working on a book on Twitter with my friend Dom. I’m doing more social media marketing and Laura is designing and doing a fantastic job. Our friend Liana who is in LA will be back in town soon and we’re hoping to all split a house together as roommates.
Things are working out. Some days I’m down about living here but taking a step back, I can see that things are working out and we’re surviving in the one of the most competitive cities in the US for housing, jobs and everything else. Thanks eveyrone.
