Going Home… [For a Week]

Sunrise in St. Augustine

Laura and I moved to San Francisco on June 1st of 2008. We flew home mid-September to visit family and say hello and we had full intentions of coming home for Christmas. Rising airline prices ($950 round trip per person) and issues with us moving into a new apartment made it hard to get home for Christmas. Well, it’s the off season in Florida and holidays are over so Laura and I are flying home for just under $180 per person (round trip) to visit family and celebrate Christmas.

Laura will be there for nearly 2 weeks and I’ll only be in town for 7 days. It’s not a long time but it’s better than nothing. I’ll get to see my sisters, do some workouts at the gym with Dad, see friends and still have time during the day to get some work done for my jobs back here in SF. It’s nice to work in Internet businesses because I can work from anywhere.

Having not seen our family since September, it’s nice to catch up and see everyone. We really miss them a lot. I’m taking my sisters to Orlando for the weekend and we’re going to go to Disney World and do other fun things. Then I take them back in time for school on Monday. I’ll get to do martial arts with Dad nearly every night and I just know I’m going to suck since it’s been 7 months since I’ve thrown someone and he’ll probably make fun of me but it’ll be with good reason.

Laura and Jessica

We’ll do some dinner with friends and Friday night I’m going out dancing with Natasha, my best friend from high school and she’s taking me to the airport on Saturday the 24th. Laura is staying a few more days than I because she is able to do this. I have deadlines and things in SF that I must take care of. It’s going to be fun.

Margaritas at Chilis

We’ll be hanging on the beach, going to our favorite restaurants and bars and catching up with old friends. It’s going to be a fun time. I miss everyone.
